Betty Horsfield

British author. She wrote two pony books making up a short series. These were reprinted in German. (There actually appears to be 3 different books by the author in German, although two may be the same book with a different name. I need to verify this.) Both her pony stories also feature dogs.

Jane series:

1) THE PONY FUND
FRIST EDITION MAX PARRISH 1965
Also a German edition.

2) NO PLACE FOR PONIES
FIRST EDITION MAX PARRISH 1967
Also a German edition.
EDITION PICTURED: German edition.
SUMMARY: Not to be confused with the Primrose Cumming book of the same name! When Jane has to leave her ponies behind to stay with her Aunt and Uncle in a town, she is horrified. But like all the best ponymad girls, she manages to track down some horses and enjoy herself after all!

Collectors info:
Not common books, and not very cheap to buy. The Pony Fund is a little easier to find than No Place for Ponies. If you can read German, the German versions are commoner and cheaper.
